A Taste of Italy Tour at Vineyard 28

Start your Italian journey amongst the vines with our Award Winning winemaker – Mark Cumbers. Hear the story of how a ‘kiwi’ girl met a ‘WA’ boy in Melbourne and why Vineyard 28 grows these Italian varieties.

Take a walk in the vineyard, get to look and view how grapes are grown. From the vineyard you will amble to the winery and get a behind the scenes understanding of how the grapes are made into wine. Taste and learn how wines are aged in barrel. Our winemaker, Mark will introduce you to our Italians, matching these with food for a flavour association experience.

Depending upon the time of year you may get to taste grapes in the vineyard, or experience wine from the tank or barrel. The tour starts and concludes in the Cellar Door, where you will complete your Italian journey.

What’s included?

Guests are offered a wine tasting from our range of Italian Varietals, conducted by our winemaker.
A grazing board of local cheese, crispbread, charcuterie and seasonal fruits is included with the wine tasting. (Gluten Free friendly)

What do I need to bring?

Please wear suitable enclosed footwear for walking, and in Summer we suggest a hat.

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event
